Artist's Statement: I was inspired from when I made an omelet that morning. Eggs look really strange, and I wondered how it would feel to walk on one. The shoreline of an egg island would be so fascinating to stand on.
I imagine this is what a child sees when they stand with their feet in the seawater, as small waves lap over them. I imagine they aren’t afraid or startled by the idea of a large Kraken or an egg island. I feel like the calming colors and the oddly friendly monstrous creature are peaceful. The scuba diver is even fist-bumping the Kraken.
